Free CNA/Medical Assistant Class
“Applied Learning Practices for CNAs and Medical Assistants” is a free hybrid course, which combines hands-on learning in a lab setting along with virtual instruction. The course focuses on training and skills necessary for success in a CNA or Medical Assisting role. Students will learn best practices for patient care, vital signs, body mechanics, patient interactions, team approach to patient care, and ethics in healthcare. Students will also meet with local employers within the healthcare industry through guest lectures. This fully funded pre-apprenticeship is provided thanks to SUNY’s generous support. All who successfully complete the class will earn a digital badge. Students will have the option to register for the college's CNA program beginning on May 12th.
